Candle Making


Just some years ago there were no electricity anywhere and not any concept of bulbs, energy savers etc. but light is a basic need of everyone’s life, no one can survive in full dark. Candles was a major part of people’s life, they used to make candles in many different styles so we can say that they lighten their lives with candles.

A candle is a block made up of wax with an embedded thread through it , the thread is used as a wick. Commonly a naked flame is used to lighten the wick. It is natural property of wax that it melts on heating; as the wick burns, the candle grows shorter.

Candle is a big part of today’s life too with some changes to its way of use. About every one of us have some candles to our homes for emergency lighting on a sudden power breakdown. Most of us may be experienced with such type of condition. Candle is also a big part of decoration so we can make candles of different designs and colors.

So this was a short introduction to candle, the basic purpose of writing this article is to discuss that how we can make customized candles. The candle that we make at home is a part of decoration too;  Candle making is basically a creative fun as I enjoy it a lot.
let's make a simple candle with a color of your choice. you can do more enhancement in the steps below for having very good results.

Let’s make a candle 

 of any beautiful color. Ingredients we need are:
A flat glass or jar
 Wax (in molten state)
Color (any)
Oil or Vaseline
And a strong thread

Step 1

 Melt the solid wax at small flame, Add the color in the molten wax that you like and mix it well. Keep the flame on, otherwise the wax will come back to its solid state.

Step 2 

Apply oil or Vaseline in the glass thoroughly and pour the liquid wax in to the glass and set a piece of thread at the center of candle throughout whole candle. Put the glass on a dry and plane surface.

Step 3 

Wait for the wax until it becomes harder and firmed up.Then take the candle out of glass or remain it in the glass its up to you, as you like it. 
So enjoy with your colorful candle….
